Duke & Shiloh and their Puppies
|
Duke & Shiloh were owned by the same person. This
young man had to move from his apartment and could
not take his dogs or their puppies with him, which
after finding out the complete story the Ark of Hope
Rescue was glad that they were safe at the Ark. To
make a very long story a little shorter...Duke and
Shiloh had 4 puppies. At the time that the Ark of
Hope got involved with the situation the puppies
were four weeks old. The day that the family was to
arrive at the Ark, Dianne was told that two of the
puppies were stolen. Knowing that Maryland law
states that a puppy has to remain with its mother
until it is eight weeks old, Allegany County Animal
Shelter was contacted. Even though the Ark of Hope
had the name, address, and phone number of the girl
who had the puppies, the animal shelter would not
get involved, would not uphold the law; they were,
"too busy." Dianne was told to just let it be and
hope that they puppies would be all right.
The Puppies! Kush (left) and Brady (right). Brady has one blue eye and one brown which makes his appearance almost as sweet as his personality. These two adorable puppies, lucky enough to be at the Ark of Hope with their mom and dad, are doing great! They have been wormed, they have had their first puppy shot, and on November 7th, they will be going to their new homes.
Both Puppies have been adopted! Good Luck, Kush and Brady, in your new homes!
UPDATE: DUKE HAS BEEN ADOPTED. HIS NEW MOM AND DAD HAS PROMISED HIM THAT "NO ONE" WILL EVER HURT HIM EVER AGAIN! DUKE NOW HAS THE LIFE THAT EVERY DOG DREAMS OF: A WARM HOME, PLENTY OF FOOD, AND A LOVING MOM THAT WOULD DIE FOR HIM!!!
UPDATE: Shiloh has been adopted! She cannot wait to go and live with her new mom and dad! She knows that her puppies will be fine and are now ready to start their own new life.
Knowing that there are two more puppies out there that the Animal Shelter was "too busy" to check on or uphold the law for, the Ark of Hope will be paying "Janee" a visit and if the puppies have not been to the vet or properly cared for, the Ark will take them by court order seeing as they have been declared "stolen property", since the original owner signed over ownership to the Ark of Hope Rescue before they were "stolen!" |
