The Ark of Hope Rescue

These five pitiful little puppies were abandoned! They were found by a man that was coming home from work who had to stop at the Park-N-Ride on Rt. 220 near Interstate 68. They were found in a small black cage in the middle of the parking lot at 3:00 AM! They had no blanket to keep them warm, no food, no water! I guess the owners realized that the little puppies were real sick and decided that if left in a parking lot someone with a kind heart would take them and then they wouldn't be "bothered" with the responsibility. The Ark of Hope rescue received a call Wednesday about these five very sick little puppies and made arrangements to meet this good Samaritan. Upon seeing the puppies Dianne was sickened at the thought that someone had these puppies and allowed them to get this sick without trying to get them any help!

There are 4 females and 1 male. The male and one female are mostly all brown. The other three females are black and brown. They could be a mix of Chihuahua, Miniature Pinscher, Manchester Terrier, and who knows, 20 different other breeds. Like Dr. Fox said, "They're dog!"

They appear to be 5 to 6 weeks old and all five puppies weighed in at the 2 pound range. Dr. Fox diagnosed them with have the worst case of "ringworm" that he has ever seen in puppies! After their extensive treatments all five puppies are expected to make a full recovery! All of their hair will grow back in and in the near future all this will be just a bad memory! We will let you know when they are ready for adoption!

UPDATE: THE PUPPIES ALL MADE A GREAT RECOVERY! AND ALL WERE ADOPTED! ONE SWEET LADY WHO ADOPTED LITTLE PEANUT JUST COULD NOT LEAVE CASHEW BEHIND SO THESE TWO PUPPIES WILL SPEND THE REST OF THEIR HAPPY LIVES TOGETHER BEING LOVED BY THEIR WONDERFUL NEW MOM!
