Happy Endings #6

This is Danielle (left). She is a very sweet Shepherd Mix female who has been spayed and micro chipped. She might be 14 months old, she is still very much a puppy with a lot of energy. Danielle would make a great second dog to a family that already has a dog that needs a playmate. Maybe there is a boy that needs a special friend to play catch / fetch with, Danielle would be the perfect answer! There shouldn't be any problem finding Danielle a loving home - she has so much love to give, herself!!!

UPDATE: Danielle has been adopted, be good Danielle and love lots!

We don't know to much about this little dog we named "Hydie" (right). She was found running the streets for a couple of weeks in Hyndman, PA. We ran newspaper ads, called the vets and the shelter to see if someone was looking for their sweet little Beagle/JR/?/ mix. We never received any response :( So now Hydie is up for adoption. She is a sweet little dog and would be great for someone that would like a "cuddle bunny!"

UPDATE: HYDIE HAS A FAMILY!!! A REALLY GOOD HOME NOW, YEAH FOR HYDIE AND THE ELBINS

A nice couple brought "Buster" (left) to the Ark of Hope on Monday, September 3rd. They found him running in the middle of Bear Hill Road near Oldtown, MD. They asked some of the neighbors if they recognized him, no one had. So to the Ark he came. We placed an ad in the Cumberland Times Newspaper, called all the vets and the animal shelter and gave them a description of him, just in case his owners called looking for him. This male dog we named Buster is a nice, friendly guy. He looks like he was a house dog, he is nice and clean. If you recognize him please call us, maybe you can help us locate his owners, if not he will be placed up for adoption.

UPDATE: Wednesday, September 5th, Ruffis, ("Buster's" real name) is back safe and sound with his own family. He walked away from his yard and then did not come when called. He was found approx. 5 miles away from his home. His family was looking and praying for his safe return. All is well now...hopefully his family will buy him a name tag with his name and phone on it and make sure it is ALWAYS on his "John Deer" collar!

At right is a picture of two female Rottweilers, "Duchess" and "Diamond", approx. 5 & 6 years old. Their Dad was killed in a car accident in Cumberland, MD on August 20, 2007. "Diamond" and "Duchess" had been boarded here at Arctic Ridge Kennels over the past few years when their Dad would have to go out of town. Now they are here for a much different reason! They are orphans and need to be adopted. They are both spayed and up to date on their vaccinations. "Diamond" is very friendly where as "Duchess" allows "Diamond" to check things out first to make sure everything is ok. "Diamond" and "Duchess" are both wonderful girls, they had a great life with their Dad and now we are trying to place them together if anyway possible!!!

UPDATE: We did it!!! "Diamond" and "Duchess" have been adopted and better yet, adopted together to a great lady who loves them so very much! I know that the Lord has told their dad, Paul, that they are in great hands and that he will be able to meet their new Mom one day! We are sooo happy for everyone here!
